urglar Alarms and Police Response

PRIVATE ALARM SYSTEMS –  NEW PROCEDURES
A new law came into force in Spain on 18th of August 2011. The law,  (ORDEN INT/316/2011) requires private Security companies  to verify any incident, before the Police are alerted. The reason for this is to ensure that the Police do not waste time responding to false alarms or faulty equipment.
Each company will have their own methods of responding to this change. This may be requiring that 3 alarms are activated at the same time in any one incident, rather than just one. An alternative is the use of cameras, so that the Security company can see if there is an intruder.
If you have an alarm, you will probably be contacted by your security company in the next few weeks. They will ask to come to inspect your alarm, and to recommend any changes, if this is necessary.
Normally we would advise people to be very suspicious, but on this occasion, it is legitimate. If you are contacted, and are unsure, ring your Security Company, before making an appointment
